Screen
Printing
We
are a traditional screen printing shop with all printing
taking place on-site. When the
graphic has been finalized, we take the output image
and “burn” it into a screen using photo-
sensitive emulsion and a very powerful light source.
After spraying out the screen to create a
perfect printable image, we move the screen to the press
where it will go through a thorough
micro-registration process to align the graphic just
right. From there, we tape off everything but
the image area, and then we are ready to print. As we
print, we also cure. Besides curing the
ink through traditional methods (flash dryers and conveyor
ovens), we typically press the shirt
on our commercial press to melt the ink right into the
shirt, creating a very soft feel to the ink and
ensuring the ink stays on the shirt for the life of
the garment. The post production clean-up is
lengthy and involves several different chemicals in
order to reclaim the screen for future use. We
only use environmentally-friendly products.
Embroidery
In addition to screen printing, we offer embroidery. While
this is often the slightly more expensive
option, it is typically favored as the way to go for more
professional attire (e.g. polos, dress
shirts, uniforms, hats, bags, etc.), and it is all but
bulletproof. There are no screens involved in
embroidery, only hoops. In most cases, the graphic (whether
provided by you or created by us)
will have to be digitized. Digitizing, sometimes called
“punching”, is the process of taking a digital
image and modifying it in order for the embroidery machine
to be able to stitch it. Basically, the
machine needs information on what direction the stitches
will lay down on the garment. As with
the screen prep time involved in screen printing, the
costs associated with digitizing are carried
by the number of garments in the order. Once an image
is digitized, it never needs to be digitized
again, so it is a one-time cost. After digitizing, the
basic cost of embroidery is calculated on a per thousand stitch count. It may sound complicated, but give
us a call, and we’ll “un-muddy” the
waters for you.

Many customers enjoy the ease of Easy Prints and prefer
this method over traditional screen
printing or embroidery. Easy Prints are very high quality,
vibrant-colored transfers that you can
create online and view changes immediately before placing
your order. The beauty of these
transfers is that they hold their color unbelievably well,
and they can be used in situations that
require “print-on-demand” (e.g. Your school,
church, or business calls upon us to attend an event
you’re hosting in order to print shirts as they
are purchased). The great benefit to this is that
you avoid purchasing more shirts than you will sell. Of
course, there are minimum purchase
requirements for us to print-on-demand, but we can fill
you in on that when you call.
Promotional Items
If you are interesting in promoting your business, school
or church, we can help. In
addition to low-cost customized apparel, we offer countless
other products with which to
advertise. From coffee mugs, to pens, to jump drives,
we can help you establish your brand.
Graphic Design
Our graphic design services are typically offered as
a free service for our customers placing
orders with us for customized apparel, but we also offer
our design services as a standalone
program. If you want a vector-based graphic specially
designed for your business or personal
use, give us a call and we’ll give you a quote.
